Planning is in the works for the 2019 Fox-Wolf Watershed Cleanup. The cleanup is a large-scale effort that has 1,000+ volunteers heading out to over 50 sites throughout the basin and cleaning up the lakes and rivers they cherish. This past April, we had 1,200 volunteers ready to clean up at sites along the Fox River, Wolf River, Embarrass River, Duck Creek, and along the shores of Lake Winnebago, Lake Winneconne, Lake Butte des Morts, and the bay of Green Bay. The Cleanup helps bring the community together, and provides a hands-on opportunity–for all ages–to have real impact on their waterways. FWWA works with municipalities to coordinate all of the cleanup locations. Once registration opens in February, volunteers will register choosing their desired cleanup site. After cleaning up, volunteers are invited to attend the Cleanup Picnic in Appleton for lunch, music, inflatables, games, raffles, exhibits, and more. All cleanup supplies and everything at the Cleanup Picnic is provided free to our volunteers for their hard work cleaning up. Help support the largest, volunteer cleanup effort in northeast Wisconsin.
