FWWA was invited back to participate in the Conservation Station tent at the Walleye Weekend event in Fond du Lac. The event took place June 9th through the 11th at Lakeside Park along the shores of Lake Winnebago. The FWWA booth focused on urban stormwater and included messaging from our Renew Our Waters campaign, the wheel of pollution, and the digital Watershed Pledge. Over 60 attendees took the Watershed Pledge, promising to protect our waterways by reducing runoff on their properties. On Saturday afternoon, Outreach Coordinator, Kelly Reyer demonstrated how to construct a rain barrel using a recycled barrel and converter kit–there was help help from the audience too!
