The Izaak Walton League of America, one of the nation’s oldest conservation clubs, kicked off a
Clean Water Challenge in 2017. Members of the Izaak Walton League set a goal of monitoring
100,000 streams by 2022.
The Brown County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League has signed onto the League’s Clean
Water Challenge and is looking to engage more groups and citizens in monitoring streams in
Wisconsin. In an effort to build partnerships, we have planned a Clean Water Challenge Kickoff
event that will brings individuals together to learn more about the Challenge and what they can
do to assist in monitoring streams in their communities.
