Topics Include Ecological Geology and Vegetation of Wisconsin

The University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee is offering a series of workshops focusing on topics in natural history. The workshops have hands-on field and laboratory sections and include classes that teach ecology, evolution, use of taxonomic keys, and techniques.  The workshops present college level instruction but are designed to accommodate people with all levels of background. Anyone with an interest in the workshops is invited to attend! Enrollment in each workshop is limited to 20 which provides an informal atmosphere and individualized instruction.

If you are a student, college credits may be earned by taking some these workshops. There is an additional online component that must be completed to receive the credit. Please call the Field Station at (262) 675 -6844 or email fieldstn@uwm.edu if you are interested in taking the course for credit. All classes can be taken for continuing education units.

Recommended manuals or texts, useful materials, and special course instruction will be sent upon registration. See the course descriptions for dates and times. Course descriptions can be found here: uwm.edu/field-station/workshops. The workshops take place at the UW-Milwaukee Field Station, 3095 Blue Goose Road, Saukville, WI 53080.
