Winnebago Waterways AIS Coordinator Partners with DNR at 2018 Spring Expo
On March 6th and 7th, attendees at the Mills Fleet Farm Spring Expo enjoyed entertainment and reduced prices on lots of merchandise. They also found several tables dedicated to protecting and recreating on our waters. Several tables were hosted by the Wisconsin DNR Fisheries biologists, USFWS staff, as well as a table discussing invasive species staffed with both FWWA and DNR staff. This partnership and educational opportunity allowed our Winnebago Waterways AIS Coordinator Chris to work closely with DNR staff while talking to over 820 people who attended the event! Partnering with DNR staff at events throughout the year increases coordinated coverage of the Winnebago Waterways. At the event, several parties were interested in having Chris give talks and presentations to their local groups. If you are part of a local organization and would like Chris to give a presentation, you can contact him at chris@fwwa.org or (920)460-3674.
