Efforts to continue to improve water quality in the Lower Fox River and the Bay of Green Bay continue to move forward. Through various collaborations and funding sources, agricultural producers in the region are implementing conservation practices that can reduce sediment loss to our rivers and streams as well as nutrient loading to our waterways. Part of learning how to determine the effectiveness of conservation practices includes water quality monitoring through studies.
Kevin Fermanich, professor with the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay provided information regarding many of the regions water quality monitoring efforts at Congressman Gallagher’s Save the Bay Field Day on May 30th, 2018.
