Join nearly 200 other water enthusiasts at one of 14 rendezvous sites around Wisconsin for the annual Statewide Aquatic Invasive Species Snapshot Day 2018 on August 18th! This event is a program of the River Alliance of Wisconsin and is hosted in partnership with organizations and volunteers all over Wisconsin! This year’s event will get people out on lakes and streams to search for invasive species such as escaped and released aquarium and water garden plants that could choke our rivers and lakes if gone undetected. The monitoring sites will vary from public parks on large rivers to culverts on country roads spanning small trout streams to frequently used boat launches on local lakes. We will use binoculars and rakes to monitor for aquatic invasive species to protect Wisconsin’s waters!
