On August 24th, 2018, the Fish and Wildlife Services, Department of Agriculture, Pheasants Forever, and NES-Ecological Services are hosting a pollinators walk in Kewaunee County from 9-11 am.
The walk will take place at Robert and JoAnn’s place: N8002 Willow Drive Algoma, WI 54201. Topics covered at this event will include: pollinator site preparation, native planting methods, expectations for the first year of planting, and how to care for the plantings in the long term. There will also be a beautiful walk through the pollinator habitat, which should be in full bloom.
Pollinators are a very important part of the ecosystem, without them, we could not survive. This is a great opportunity to learn what you can do to continue to improve pollinator habitat throughout the state. Every little bit can help.
Please RSVP to this event by August 21, 2018. Call or email Reena Bowman to RSVP; 920-866-1720 reena_bowman@fws.gov
