Shawano Downtown and the Shawano Parks & Recreation Department are a hosting tree lighting ceremony at Franklin Park on November 24, 2018. Each tree has been sponsored by a business or non-profit and will be decorated by their sponsor.

Along with the tree lighting ceremony at 5 pm, there are many different events scheduled on the 24th for families. From 2-4 pm there will be a children’s scavenger hunt throughout downtown Shawano as well as cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus at Angie’s Cafe. There will also be a selfie station set up at the library. There is a Holiday Quest around Frankling Park from 2-5 pm and horse and wagon rides from 4-7 pm on West Division Street. Santa and his reindeer will be at Franklin Park from 4:30-6 pm with the tree lighting ceremony beginning at 5 pm.

Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance is sponsoring a tree for this event, so make sure to visit Franklin Park sometime between November 24th and January 5th to check out our tree! Check out the Facebook event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1131835270302178/
