2018 was an amazing year for two members of the Northeast Wisconsin Stormwater Consortium (NEWSC).
The Town of Greenville and the City of Oshkosh both installed new, innovative techniques for stormwater control.
The image (right) is the final draft of a project sign providing information about the new Prairie Treatment System that was installed at the Coughlin Center, city of Oshkosh. The project is not quite complete. Due to the late start of construction, Winnebago County will finish the topsoil and planting next spring. The images (left) show a new raingarden and stormwater treatment train located in the Town of Greenville. The town is currently installing raingardens in strategic locations around their maintenance facility in order to capture and treat stormwater runoff from the facility. In addition, the town installed a series of sand filters and raingardens along an existing stormwater ditch system in an older subdivision.
We hope to bring you additional information regarding these new, innovative practices in our area in upcoming posts and educational opportunities, so stay tuned for more information.
