Over the past few months, several discussions have taken place to draft a new Lake Winnebago regulation strategy that would be implemented during 2018-2019. The Army Corps of Engineers recently released the draft strategy for public review and comment. The strategy was first discussed at their annual regulation meeting that was held on October 10th, 2018 at their office in Appleton.

Their full public statement, including the draft strategy, released on December 20th, 2018 can be downloaded by clicking the image to the right. The Army Corps is welcoming comments on the draft strategy. Comments can be submitted to the staff listed along the right-hand side of this article.

All input collected will be compiled and discussed during their drawdown meeting that will be held on January 17th, 2019 at their office in Appleton (2619 E Capitol Drive, Appleton, WI 54911) at 6:00pm. If you can’t make it in person, you can attend remotely by phone or computer.
