The Northeast Wisconsin Stormwater Consortium’s Building and Development Committee has finalized its update to the Sediment and Erosion Control Field Guide. These newly printed guide books are hot off the printing press and are available for purchase through NEWSC.
The new guides have been updated from the older, 2012 version, to include updates to many of the Wisconsin DNR technical standards.
Similar to the older version, the field guides are waterproof booklets that include valuable information for those who may be on-site inspecting construction site erosion control best management practices (BMP’s). The guides include inspections checklists, information on technical standards and important contact and resource information.
The field guide provides valuable information on the following technical standards:
- Land Application of Additives for Erosion Control
- Channel & Non-Channel Erosion Mat
- Vegetative Buffers for Construction Sites
- Sediment Bale Barriers
- Silt Fencing
- Trackout Control
- Mulching and Seeding
- Storm Drain Inlet Protection
- Dewatering
- Ditch Checks
- Sediment Traps and Sediment Basins
- Construction Site Diversions
- Temporary Grading Practices
- Dust Control
- Turbidity Barriers
- Silt Curtains
- Manufactured Perimeter Control & Slope Interruption Products
