This coming weekend (February 21st and 22nd, 2020) will see ice anglers from around the world converge on Lake Winnebago for one of the largest ice fishing tournaments in the United States. The 13th annual Battle On Bago will have over $275,000 in prizes with a unique prize structure that gives everyone involved a chance to win an amazing prize. For example, 150th place will win $10,000 dollars in prize money. Battle on Bago is an event supported by the community and returned directly back to the community. Parts of the funds raised from Battle on Bago go directly back to local organizations that embody the mission statement of the event “For Kids and Conservation”. In addition to fishing, there is free admission to the weigh in tent which has great food and drinks, live music, raffle prizes, etc. There is even a kick off part on Thursday February 20th from 6pm-11pm to get the tournament off on the right foot!

What a great way to enjoy our Winnebago Waterways, potentially win prizes, and support local organizations! To everyone fishing this weekend as part of the event, good luck and stay safe!
