From the Army Corps public notice:

“Recent basin conditions have caused inflows to rise significantly higher than outflows.  At this time all gates at the Neenah and Menasha dams are open in an effort to reduce the rate of rise on Lake Winnebago.  There are no other measures available to control the water level rise on Lake Winnebago and the lake will rise as long as inflows exceed outflows.

The use of all gates to discharge water results in high flows and water levels on the lower Fox River and may present challenging conditions going forward. The water levels directly downstream from the Neenah dam may rise to the point where there could be impacts to industry and infrastructure.  We are and will continue to monitor the situation closely and will respond appropriately in the event that high water poses a risk.
