Are you ready to join the fight against invasive species? Are you looking for a fun, outdoor volunteer opportunity? Become a Clean Boats, Clean Waters (CBCW) volunteer watercraft inspector!

The CBCW program is a great opportunity for those with a sincere interest in lake protection. You can help stop the spread of harmful organisms – like Eurasian watermilfoil and zebra mussels – by educating the public about the threat of aquatic invasive species (AIS). Volunteer watercraft inspectors work at public boat landings performing boat and trailer checks, recording watercraft data, and sharing information about AIS. You don’t need to be an expert to help; training will be provided to ensure your success.

We are looking for outgoing individuals to spend 2 – 3 hours once or twice a week at a local boat landing. With more than 25 landings across Shawano County in need of watercraft inspectors, you could join the front line of defense just blocks from your home!
