The County Land & Water Conservation Departments are committed to reducing nutrient and sediment pollution that enters the Winnebago Lakes. The counties are making measurable progress with their own initiatives as well as multi-partner projects. We will be periodically featuring the counties to showcase their hard work.
This month we are highlighting the Fond du Lac County Land & Water Conservation Department. The department is led by Paul Tollard, County Conservationist, and is supported by several amazing staff. In addition to making progress on the “Pipe Farmers: Manage Nutrients, Improve Soil and Protect Water” in partnership with Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance, FDL County has several noteworthy accomplishments to share from 2020.
A handful of their projects completed in and around Lake Winnebago are shown below:
Fond du Lac County was also recently awarded a large scale TRM grant. CLICK HERE to read more about the grant and project.
