The Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance and the Northeast Wisconsin Stormwater Consortium (NEWSC) were recently awarded a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Surface Water Education Grant to fund stormwater education in 2021 and 2022. The grant, Changing Stormwater Behaviors in Northeast Wisconsin, will be used to offer educational opportunities for municipal staff. In addition to live trainings on stormwater topics, the grant will allow for the updating of existing educational materials and for new materials to be produced. The training opportunities include:
- Best Management Practices Workshop with a focus on stormwater pond dredging, planned for 2021
- Winter Parking Lot Maintenance Workshop, planned for 2022
