We couldn’t do it without our volunteers!
Gary Doering is a returning volunteer who monitors water quality in Lake Poygan, Lake Winneconne, and Lake Butte des Morts. The data Gary collects is used to assess long-term water quality trends in the lakes.
Gary volunteers with us because he has a general interest in the Winnebago System, enjoys just being out on the water, and loves to fish and duck hunt.
He wants to see conditions of the water improve so that it, “looks better and is healthier for the fish, animals and people using it”.
