Volunteers will soon be installing new signs in Lake Winnebago that mark important habitat (just south of TJ’s Harbor) to keep people out of critical habitat areas from April 15 through September 15. These signs replace an older version that volunteers have been temporarily installing each year for the open water season for almost two decades.

The new signs were paid for by the Winnebago Waterways Program at Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance and will be placed by volunteers from the Winnebagoland Conservation Alliance.
