The Outagamie County Land Conservation Department sponsors two conservation contests annually for students in the county.
The Conservation & Environmental Awareness Speaking Competition is for students in grades 5-12. The County offers this opportunity for youth to become more aware of the conservation of our natural resources through speaking. Speeches must promote conservation of natural resources and the protection or enhancement of environmental quality. Emphasis should be placed on the subject as it relates to your locality or to Wisconsin (local conservation programs or projects provide excellent topics for positive, solution-oriented speeches).
The Conservation Poster Contest which provides an opportunity for young people in Grades 4 – 6 to become more aware of the conservation of our natural resources through artistic design. The 2023 theme is “One Water.”
The deadline for submission for both contests is December 15, 2022.
