Sometimes, the lakes turn green and not in a good way. That’s harmful algae (also called HABs), and it can make water unsafe for people, pets, and wildlife. UW Oshkosh, the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance, and other partners are working together to track harmful algae, understand what causes it, and help prevent it.
