For some fields, too much water can be a real problem, causing gullies and soil erosion. There are a variety of conservation practices that can be used to help slow, guide, and filter runoff water, resulting in less erosion and fields that are more workable.
USES: Grassed Waterway, Two-Staged Ditch, Floodplain or Channel Restoration, Flood Mitigation, or Drainage Management
INCENTIVE TYPE: 100% Implementation Cost
NRCS STANDARDS: Grassed Waterway (412), Lined Waterway or Outlet (468), and Open Channel (582)
