Interested in citizen science & a hands-on opportunity to help protect Wisconsin’s waters?

You won’t want to miss the 4th annual Statewide Aquatic Invasive Species Snapshot Day! Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance along with the Winnebago Waterways program are local coordinators for the event, and will be hosting several sites in the area including locations in Neenah, Menasha, Appleton, Kimberly, Little Chute, and sites throughout the Winnebago System.

On Saturday, August 5th join 200+ water enthusiasts throughout the state and venture to lakes and streams near you to search for invasive species such as escaped and released aquarium pets and water garden plants that could choke our rivers and lakes if gone undetected. Whether you are comfortable wading into a river or not, there is a site for you and we need your help!

This is a fun, family-friendly volunteer event and is great for anyone interested in our lakes and rivers, learning more about aquatic invasive species, or just being part of a large, state-wide volunteer effort. Training and supplies will be provided for all volunteers.

The event is coming up quickly, please register today!
