Soil Health Field Day-Waushara County

Along the shores of Lake Poygan

Thursday, September 6th, 2018 from 10am to 2pm

Bruce and Sandy Lind operate a 400-acre cash grain farm along the shores of Lake Poygan. The farm transitioned to no-till in 2012, and they began experimenting with incorporating cover crops in 2015. Bruce built a custom 12 row inter-seeder toolbar in 2017 that allows him to incorporate covers into his corn at the V3-V6 stage. This year they began experimenting with surface applied manure from a neighboring dairy spread over cover crops as another tool to help build soil health. Event is being hosted by NRCS. See the event flyer for more information.

Please RSVP by Saturday September 1st to: Matt Utecht- 920-407-1195 or matthewutecht@yahoo.com
