Short Video Brings Aquatic Invasive Species Education Straight to You!

As part of the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance’s aquatic invasive species (AIS) program, we work to bring you up close and personal with some of the AIS in our lakes and rivers. You may have met our AIS Coordinator Chris at a local public festival or event at a Winnebago Waterways Program education booth in years past! With the COVID-19 safety precautions, Chris hasn’t been at any of the usual places where he sets up an AIS booth with preserved specimens for you to check out and learn how to prevent the spread of AIS. So instead, we’re bringing some AIS information to you! Our new AIS Creature Feature video puts the spotlight on the Sea Lamprey, an invasive species that is in the Great Lakes but not in the Winnebago System. Learn about the history of the lamprey, it’s impacts to our region, and what is being done to prevent the spread of these aquatic invasive species!

Take 5 and watch the video at the link below!
