Hello Volunteers!

We are still looking for volunteers for the sites circled in red on the map for the 2023 season!

Do you enjoy being out on the water? Are you interested in seeing how the work we are doing affects water quality? We have an opportunity for you!

We are looking for water quality monitoring volunteers for the 2023 season and beyond.

Volunteers can sample in either streams or lakes. Our current sampling site map is shown above. Lake locations require a boat (for safety concerns, boats that can handle 2-4 foot swells are required) and streams are accessible by foot. We provide sampling equipment (besides boats) and training! Volunteers should expect to commit about 4 hours for training and about 2 hours per month per sampling site.

Training is expected to occur in late April-early May, and sites are sampled from May – October.

2023 sites in need of volunteers:

Site WW-02: Pumpkinseed Creek (stream site)

Site WW-09: Lake Winnebago South Deep Hole, Fond du Lac (lake site)

This is a great way to experience the watershed while contributing to our efforts to understand how to protect and restore water quality.

To sign up, please contact Katie at katherine@fwwa.org or 920-851-6472. Trainings will be held in late April or early May. We hope to hear from you!
