CLICK HERE to take the Watershed Pledge!!

What is a watershed?
A watershed is a geographic where all of the water that runs off of or under that area of land eventually ends up in the same place. This means that the water that runs off of your property eventually ends up in our lakes, rivers, and streams. There are several things you can do to help improve the health of our surface waters.

The most important things to remember are to: (1) reduce the rate and volume of runoff from your property, (2) reduce your overall water usage, and (3) make choices that improve the quality of water running off of your property. This helps us to conserve our fresh water resources and prevents pollutants from reaching our lakes and rivers.

Take the watershed pledge today to help protect our state’s water resources!
