The organization has contributed in many ways over the years. Here are some highlights:

  • Hosted in-person boater education classes
  • Organized River clean-up projects
  • Provided signs and navigational aids
  • Facilitated public informational meetings
  • Provided funding for dredging
  • Provided input to state officials as needed to ensure protection of our waterways

On May 16th, 2021 the Tri-County Powerboat Alliance honored one of their founding members, Chuck Hartzheim, by donating funds to the Fremont Wolf River Fire Department. Chuck, who recently passed, served as Secretary in 1992 and was a highly valued asset to our water community.

Chuck’s family also donated to the Fire Department (Wife: Kathy Hartzheim, Son: Steven Hartzheim, Daughter: Juli Tease and her husband Steve Tease). The donations, accepted by Fire Chief Shorty Miller and Robert Stevens (see photo), were used towards the purchase of a water rescue boat and other needed equipment.

Tri-County Powerboat Alliance recognized the impact of Chuck’s work with this quote: “We owe Chuck Hartzheim a great deal of gratitude, for this river would be a much different place without him”.
