Earlier this month, Fox-Wolf in partnership with GEI Consultants, brought together conservation professionals from across the region for streambank erosion training. With seven counties represented, the day reflected a growing sense of shared purpose and a clear appetite for practical, science-based solutions.
Turning Data into Action
Streambank erosion contributes significantly to phosphorus and sediment pollution in our local waters. This training introduced a scalable, standardized approach for identifying erosion and planning restoration—blending map-based planning, field assessment, and data analysis into a method that’s both cost-effective and ready to implement.
Attendees spent the morning at our Appleton office learning the process step-by-step, then headed to Daufen Memorial Park in Dale for a hands-on field demonstration. The participation was high, the conversations thoughtful, and the energy unmistakably forward-looking.
A Shared Step Forward
This wasn’t just a skills session. It was part of a bigger movement toward aligned, region-wide restoration planning and Fox-Wolf is proud to have helped facilitate that.
As more counties adopt shared methods and build internal capacity, the result is more focused projects, clearer priorities, and better outcomes for the rivers, lakes, and communities that define our watershed.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and excited for what’s ahead.
